Welcome!

Hello my name is Jo and welcome to the Huggable Heroes website! I am a full time mummy to Charlotte 5 and Henry 3 and a wife to a Royal Marine Commando.

Along with my mum Julia, Nan Sylvia and Aunt Sue we lovingly Hand make 'Huggable Heroes' to help our brave children who cope with not having parents around on a daily basis.

Huggable Heroes 'Reduce Separation Anxiety and Reinforce the Bond between Parent and Child while mummy or daddy is working away'

I first made a Huggable Hero for a Friend's little girl whose Daddy was about to deploy for 6 months, I then made my own children one each and saw how much they help, reducing the separation anxiety. Daddy Cuddles as we call him is extremely loved and goes everywhere with us, including Charlotte's first day at school.

My Husband is a 'Weekend Warrior' so home most weekends but with the children being so young a week is a long time. Daddy cuddles is a Star!

Since making Huggable Heroes for armed forces families. We have found that children with parents who are not in the military but work away, Parents and Grandparents who live away from children, separated parents, children with Autism, children in Hospital and families struggling with death have all benefited from Huggable Heroes.

We support lots of Charities by donating Huggable Heroes as and when we can. The charities then use the Heroes to give to children in need or raffle them off to raise those all important funds.

Huggable Heroes have featured in local and national newspapers including the The Sun and Daily Star, we had our story printed in the March 2015 addition of 'Pick me up' Magazine. We also continue to feature regularly in magazines for the Military families.

We are honoured to be asked to be part of a Film called 'A Fathers Promise' which is an adaption of a Play 'A Family  Beyond the Army' which received 5 stars at the Edinburgh Fringe.

We started our journey at the start of 2015, Wow what a exciting journey it has been so Far!!!!
